I suspect you are checking out this site because you’ve received an invitation in your mailbox! If that is the case, you’ve got a rock-star kiddo living close by who is involved with the Lemonade for Love lemonade stand. It is happening this Saturday!
This is the 3rd Annual Lemonade For Love in the neighbourhood. The lemonade stand is a child-driven, parent-supported event. We work together to help a local family who is having a difficult time. Its primary goal is to encourage #kidshelpingkids!
This year we are helping out Adajeah & Marlo.
This is a very exciting week for the volunteers! Our volunteers range in age from 4-13 years. They’ve been armed with their own invitations and are on a mission to invite their community to their event.
Many of the children have presented to their soccer, baseball and ball hockey team-mates, and others have been invited to talk about the lemonade stand in their classrooms! The volunteers will also be serving up the sweet stuff on Saturday morning. They are true community ambassadors and the level of interest they have in helping others is genuine. Their dedication and commitment to this should be admired and celebrated!
The stand is short, sweet, simple and fun and we would love to see you there! 69 Leland is just steps from the park – many families take a bike ride to the stand and then stay to play in the park! No matter how you travel, we’d love to be part of your plans on Saturday morning. There’s a cupcake in it for you 🙂
If you have any questions, we can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Calling all Lemonade For Love volunteers!
Your invites are ready!
They will be dropped off in your mailbox tomorrow. If you don’t receive them by dinner time, give us a shout!!
Thanks for helping to spread the word!! The countdown is ON!! ????????????????????????????????????
A little Lemonade for Love history!
Our first official Lemonade for Love stand happened on this very day, 2 years ago! The kiddos were serving up the sweet stuff for the Bravery Bead Program at SickKids Hospital. The kiddos raised $1300 and were very, very proud!
The year before we had hosted a small stand and were able to raise enough money to buy the Toronto Humane Society some leashes and cat supplies! Although we hadn’t dubbed it “Lemonade for Love”, the same love went into that day as well.
Our 3rd Annual “Official” Stand is on June 25th and we hope you pop by and join us! You can’t help but feel the love when you do!
How are your posters coming along?!
We’ve made a call out to the neighbourhood kiddos to put marker to paper and make some bright and fun Lemonade for Love invitations!
We will be sending the invitations off to be copied this week. Please hand any outstanding posters in by Monday at noon.
If you’re not sure what details to include just draw a fab picture, or visit our website.
Here is a pic of a few friends sitting down to create 🙂
Hee Hee 🙂
We thought this was fun!
Please, don’t send any ducks on the 25th! We don’t have time for the quack’ness! 😉
A great big THANK YOU to Suitcase Theatre for, once again, supporting our Lemonade for Love event! They have donated one week of summer camp to our lemonade stand raffle. This is a fab prize for both kiddo AND parent!! 😉
Suitcase Theatre is a local Etobicoke treasure. They are registered charitable organization that was founded by the original producer and creator of Mr. Dressup, one of Canada’s most loved and longest running children’s television shows. The theatre group performs at daycares, schools, hospitals, community centres, festivals and special events across Ontario. They also offer dynamic after school programs, camps and class workshops that focus on drama, improv, comedy, singing, dancing and the visual arts!
