We are pleased to announce that @lemonadeforlove, with the help of our sponsors, our community, and the dollar-for-dollar match by @morcan_direct, has raised just north of $25,000 for the #captainxavierfund at #silvercreekpreschool in Etobicoke! . Thank you to everyone who championed the kids, who pitched in by sharing a tweet, telling a friend, or helping us set up another tent when the rain started. This is a true collective effort from everyone in our community. It doesn’t happen without you. We also hope that the kids felt good about giving back! . Be happy knowing that you will make an impact in the lives of families in our community. . Thank you! 📷: @angela.cheyne . . . #lemondeforlove #lemonadestand #givingback #etobicoke #kidshelpingkids

What a day! . Well, you guys, it rained, and it rained HARD! 🌧 It was cold and wet, but the neighborhood showed its true blue colours and @lemonadeforlove had an incredible show of support. (And we were pretty impressed with the showing of raincoat fashions! You guys are stylin’!) . We started this lemonade stand five years ago with a box of tarts, 5 Litres of lemonade, and a goal of $300.00. I’m going to tell you that we were nervous to say the goal amount out loud because it seemed a bit lofty and a bit bold. . We do not have our total of online donations available as of yet. We will receive those on Monday. However, our initial number, today, taking into count @morcan_direct’s offer to match donations, is just over $17,000!💥 . That means that since that first lemonade-stand five years ago we as a collective have raised and re-invested over $50,000 back into our community. . Money aside, I think we have a community that is special, unique and is something we should all be incredibly proud to call our own. . Thank you. . . #lemonadeforlove2018 xo
One of the most incredible things about being an educator is getting to see all the good and love this world has to offer! This weekend a former student had her third annual lemonade stand and she raised over $6,600 for two local families battling cancer. I am truly inspired by her and her family and grateful that I have had the opportunity to teach this beautiful girl #lemonadeforloveetobicoke #kidshelpingkids @msmelanieminor
What an incredible day!
Our hearts are full and our souls sprinkled with all of the kindness & goodwill shown today.
There are so many pictures and stories to share about today’s lemonade stand, and we will share them soon! However, we wanted to be the first to tell you that our modest little lemonade stand brought in $6,600 over the course of 3 hours.
Your generosity as a community is unique, incredibly special and is not taken for granted.
Our feet are tired and it is bed time for all of those little volunteers, but we wanted to wish you a good night with 6,600 Thank Yous and a wish for some well deserved sweet dreams.
I suspect you are checking out this site because you’ve received an invitation in your mailbox! If that is the case, you’ve got a rock-star kiddo living close by who is involved with the Lemonade for Love lemonade stand. It is happening this Saturday!
This is the 3rd Annual Lemonade For Love in the neighbourhood. The lemonade stand is a child-driven, parent-supported event. We work together to help a local family who is having a difficult time. Its primary goal is to encourage #kidshelpingkids!
This year we are helping out Adajeah & Marlo.
This is a very exciting week for the volunteers! Our volunteers range in age from 4-13 years. They’ve been armed with their own invitations and are on a mission to invite their community to their event.
Many of the children have presented to their soccer, baseball and ball hockey team-mates, and others have been invited to talk about the lemonade stand in their classrooms! The volunteers will also be serving up the sweet stuff on Saturday morning. They are true community ambassadors and the level of interest they have in helping others is genuine. Their dedication and commitment to this should be admired and celebrated!
The stand is short, sweet, simple and fun and we would love to see you there! 69 Leland is just steps from the park – many families take a bike ride to the stand and then stay to play in the park! No matter how you travel, we’d love to be part of your plans on Saturday morning. There’s a cupcake in it for you 🙂
